Embroidered Landscape With Horseman 

Antique embroidered scroll from Korea depicting a horseman approaching a mountain with a verse in classical Chinese characters, and embellished with 1 embroidered seal and 1 stamped seal.  Coloured silk thread on silk.  Handsomely mounted on patterned green silk-paper, suspended by string, and anchored by a solid wood rod with rounded ends. 

Exact age unknown, but almost certainly early 20th century.  Some minor fading and discoloration that is consistent with the age of the piece.  This piece is a companion to 'Embroidered Landscape With Boats'.

Dimensions: height 158cm (a little over 62"); width 46cm (a little over 18"); length of rod 56cm (a little over 22").  All measurements are approximate.
